Hey Y’all!
One of the things that I love doing (and kind of geek out about) is making lists – To-do lists, Bucket Lists, Grocery Lists, Goal Lists, Movie Lists, Book Lists..you name it…I’ve made it.
So I thought I would compile a list of Low and No Cost Date Ideas that I can share and also implement in my own relationship 🙂
Buffalo Wild Wings gets a ton of our money during football season so I thought it would be fun to try some frugal dates ideas before the pigskin starts flying again in the fall 🙂
You can go out and have fun with your partner in crime but don’t have to break the budget while doing it – that’s a win-win in my book!
Date Nights have always been a priority to us – a few hours every week where we can have fun and enjoy each other’s company sans kids in tow. We are just now getting to the point where we can take our twin boys to a restaurant without too much stress but it’s still nice to go it alone once in awhile 🙂
Let’s just get right to it – I haven’t tried all of these yet, but many are on my bucket list for this spring/summer ~ Especially the blanket fort. I’m super stoked to do that! 🙂
P.S. (Some of these are ideas for “at-home” dates after the kids go to bed)
- Picnic in the park
- Go Hiking
- Go stargazing – in a park or on the roof of your own house
- Have a bonfire
- Go to a Farmers Market
- Invent a New drink – in our case, with alcohol 🙂
- Build a blanket fort complete with pillows and string lights for coziness – watch movies/have wine 🙂
- Scenic drive with the windows down and the music blaring
- Play a board game – Twister, Jenga, Scrabble etc.
- Competitive game of Mario Kart
- Build something together
- Go Bowling
- Go Rollerblading
- Check out a concert in the park
- Water balloon fight
- Nerf gun war
- Go for a bike ride
- Make a pizza together
- Go Camping
- Go to a local baseball game
- Ghost hunt at your local cemetery
- Go fishing
- Take a pottery or art class
- Catch a matinee (much cheaper)
- Wine Tasting at a local winery (some of these are pretty affordable)
- Go to the gym together
- Comedy show
- Go for a penny Date – flip a penny at every turn and that will decide which way you go 🙂
- Batting Cage
- Driving Range – we’ve done this several times and it’s not super expensive
- Go Mini-Golfing
- Spontaneous roadtrip to a different town – be a tourist
- Drive to one of the beautiful parks in your State (there are a ton of them! So many great pictures waiting to be taken haha)
- Go to the animal shelter and play with the pups 🙂 #obsessedwithpuppies
- Fly a kite on a windy day
- Watch the sunset
- Brainstorm together about goals, dreams, future plans, places you want to live, ideas for a product or business (we do this ALL the time and it’s so much fun)
- Start a garden
- Order a pizza and watch a movie by candlelight
Alright guys, that’s all for now! Hope this list gets those creative juices flowing and inspires you to plan a date night soon 🙂
Until next time,
Hugs and Good Vibes!
