Hey y’all – this is my first post in the month long Ultimate Blogging Challenge that I joined. I’m super stoked to get started! π
Every day for the rest of April, I will be posting something new on my blog that has to do with one of the following topics:
- Creating New/Better Habits (and kicking the old ones to the curb)
- Positive Self Image
- Eliminating Negativity from your life
- Confidence Hacks
- Goal Setting
- Stress Busters for Busy Mamas
- Simplifying Your Life
- The Law of Attraction
- Budget Ideas and Getting ahead of your money
- Caring Less What People Think
- Ending the Comparison game
- Self-Care
- The importance of Mindset
I may throw more topics in there as we go along but you get the idea π
Reasons that I joined the UBC (Ultimate Blog Challenge)
Better Writing Habits – As a busy mom and wife, I’ve always struggled to stick with a blogging schedule (and any other schedule for that matter). Oy vey. Β I have a TON of things I want to talk about but I sometimes let life get in the way and I generally post once a week at best. With this challenge, I’m determined to get into the habit of writing something every single day and form new habits that will carry on well into the future.
Less Procrastination – I procrastinate. A lot. It’s one of my not so great qualities. In the past, I’ve tended to put my blog second rather than making it a priority simply because I let other things get in the way and I put it off. Repeatedly. I’m not allowing that to happen anymore. With this challenge, I want to get into the habit of posting every single day – no procrastinating, no excuses.
Connect With Other Moms/Bloggers – As a work at home mama/blogger, I’ve found that sitting behind computer screen can often get kinda lonely. For one, nobody really understands what the heck you do and for two, sometimes it’s hard to explain it π My overall goal when creating this website, was to build a community centered around the crazy struggles of mom life as well as work at home life. I’m hoping this challenge will give me the opportunity to reach out and connect with women on a similar path π
Personal Development – Over the next month, there are a ton of personal development topics I want to tackle. My goal is to not only empower and inspire other women to live their best life but also work on my own personal struggles while creating a healthier, more positive lifestyle too. By discussing these topics that are near and dear to my heart, I want to empower other women as well as work on my own personal development.
So, there you have it π Be on the lookout for a blog post every single day of April – If you’re on my email list, I’ll be sending out occasional reminders to have you check the blog for awesome, new stuff π
If you’re not already on my list, please feel free to sign up and join – Β I’d love to have you as part of my crazy crew here at Blessed With a Hot Mess π
You can also connect with me on the Facebook page π
Hugs and Good Vibes sent your way!

Thank you Tammy! Mine too! There are limitless things to talk about in that area and I feel like everyone can benefit in some way π I appreciate your comment!

Thanks Kelly!! I’ve been SO excited about it! Thank you for your comment! π
Oh, I can relate to everything you said! Life gets in the way, sometimes it’s lonely, you just want to procrastinate and so on. And I liked all of your topics – probably need them all, too – so I will be on the lookout for them.
Thanks so much Jeanine! π
Glad I found your post! I can completely relate on the procrastination. I’ll be working right along then my phone buzzes with a social media notification or I see that an email pops up. I work as an office manager by day and blog at night. It’s hard to find the time to network on top of blogging but I’m working on that! Can’t wait to read more of your posts during this challenge!
Thank you Shelly! π I am the same way – I’ve allowed my phone to be quite the time suck on many occasions haha! Glad you’re doing this challenge and thank you SO much for your comment!
Welcome to the challenge Kristin! Looking forward to reading more of your posts, I too need to work on the procrastination part!
Thank you Martha! Procrastination has always been such a problem for me – hoping to kick that bad habit to the curb with this challenge haha. Thanks so much for your comment!

Thank you Cynthia! I really appreciate that!
Kristin we both procrastinate. I have signed up for this challenge constantly and failed to carry through but this time I am determined to create that habit of writing each day. It is a struggle fighting against the daily stuff and the fulltime job but I am not going to let them win hands down this time. I am fighting back. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for your comment Veronica! I feel the exact same way – going to try and stick with it until the end! lol Best of luck to you during the challenge. I’ll be on the lookout for your posts!!
